2. US Market: Siemens working with
Edison to ensure high quality, dependable power to Southern
California
Siemens
PT&D has been awarded a major contract from Southern California
Edison (SCE) for a turnkey Static Var Compensation (SVC)
system. "The SVC will strengthen the Devers-Palo Verde
transmission path from Arizona to California, benefiting electrical
power users on the western United States 500 kV power grid," said
Jim Kelly, SCE's Vice President of Engineering.
